S.Y. 2009
I've been teaching related crafts and recycling since 2003 (if I'm not mistaken) it would be my 6th year this school year 2009. But this year, i was given another area which is Beauty Care in the TVE - I class...aside from that i also have the ICT II in the Science Curriculum...But whatever areas I'm in now, I'd like to create another blog like this compile all the works of my students (specially those that I handled) in the different areas of Home Economics. A very simple but memorable diary in my teaching career....

Related Sites
When I give this link to my students this school year, they were very much interested to view the site because they will be able to see their pictures online, and aside from that, they can also view other pictures from my previous students and their projects. Upon giving the url for this link, i also give them some research about local materials in our country or perhaps in the locality.
Though not all were able to browse for some answers since majority of them are not familiar with computers. They were able to ask the help of a friend in order to navigate the internet (surely this will slowly motivate them to use the computers and later on they will learn as they go along)....but generally some were not able to do so because of financial reason...they can't afford to stay longer in the internet... Since they were able to view this site, one student suggested that i should include sites that will lead them directly to the topics in our lesson, so that it would be easier for them to browse and answer their assignments.
In this site I included related links / site that will surely link them to our topics. This was specially made for my students in Related Crafts and Recycling, ------- for easier browsing as well as advance reading on topics to be taken. A very brilliant suggestion indeed! (from one of my students this school year). Here they will be easily directed to the topic without spending more time on the internet looking at so many related links....

School year 2007-2008 was my fourth year in handling TLE III Area: Related Crafts and Recycling (if I'm not mistaken). Though this was my fourth year in this area, but in using this blog to publish my students outputs through pictures, was just my second year. This blog was created, after i was able to attend a seminar in web blogging in Cebu City around October of 2006.
At first I find it difficult to convince my students to visit this blog because of financial reasons, (since I'm not handling higher sections and some of them cannot afford to visit the internet) but slowly they visited the site, for they were interested to see their pictures online. A good motivation indeed. I guess that was just my main purpose, to give them an avenue for viewing their pictures or perhaps copying them for reproduction as our class souvenirs. Though not all of my students were able to contribute or share their ideas through comments in this blog, but I'm sure they were able to open this site to view their pictures and see their projects posted in the internet...that alone is one way of making them or perhaps encouraging them to learn more when it comes to computers...
